Thousands of migrant workers have been fleeing the towns and cities amid the COVID-19 pandemic and it is being called the ' the long march of India' It is considered as one of the most rigid lockdowns in history. The poor have been hurt hard, migrant workers are unable to pay rents for their homes or afford food for their families, and are forced to make the tough choice between their physical death and economic situation in an unavoidable urban setup. Don Bosco Chandigarh supported 1,000 such families by providing ration kits so that they will have some relief from the lack of food.
